Yes. Thai domestic vehicles are right-hand drive, so side-specific parts such as steering racks, lamps and mirrors are commonly available in right-hand-drive versions. Fitment should still be confirmed by chassis code or OEM number.
Can a shipment for Uganda move through Kenya or Tanzania?
Uganda-bound cargo commonly moves through Mombasa or Dar es Salaam in transit. The consignee and final destination should be declared correctly on the bill of lading, and transit formalities should be arranged with a clearing agent.

East Africa's core markets of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda drive on the left, and their vehicle parc is dominated by right-hand-drive Japanese vehicles, many of them imported used. This makes the region a natural fit for parts sourced from Thailand, where right-hand-drive Japanese pickups and light trucks are built.
Public transport depends heavily on minibuses such as the Toyota HiAce and Nissan Urvan, and on light and medium trucks and buses built on Isuzu, Hino and Fuso chassis. Pickups and SUVs are used extensively in agriculture, NGO and project work, and rural transport. High vehicle utilization and a mix of paved highways and unpaved feeder roads create steady demand for suspension and steering, brakes, filters and truck parts.
Traffic side across the region
Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda are left-hand-traffic markets. Several neighbors, including Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan and Ethiopia, drive on the right. Distributors serving cross-border customers should specify the drive side for steering, lighting, mirror and body parts on each order line.

Kenya (KEBS), Tanzania (TBS) and Uganda (UNBS) each operate Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) programs for regulated imports, which can apply to vehicle parts, batteries and tires. Procedures and scope change, so buyers should confirm current requirements with their clearing agent and inform us at the RFQ stage so the shipment can be prepared accordingly.
Ordering by drive side and origin
Because many vehicles in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda are used imports from Japan, a model sold under a familiar name may differ in engine, brake or electrical specification from a Thai-built version. The most reliable RFQs list the chassis code (for example the HiAce H200 generation), engine code and OEM part number for each line. Traders who also supply right-hand-traffic neighbors should split side-specific lines into right-hand-drive and left-hand-drive quantities.
