Industrial and MRO parts are specified by standard designations and dimensions more often than by machine model: bearing designation and clearance class, seal size and material, belt or chain standard, motor frame size and power, pump flow and head, valve size and pressure rating.

What to send with an industrial parts RFQ

• Manufacturer part number or standard designation (for example a bearing or seal size code)
• Dimensions, material and operating conditions (temperature, pressure, speed, medium)
• Equipment make and model where the part is equipment-specific
• Quantity and preferred brand, and whether equivalents are acceptable

These categories also cover outboard and marine engine service parts, generator set parts, refrigeration and HVAC components, and selected electric-mobility components. Many items can be combined with automotive and equipment parts in one consolidated shipment; lithium batteries and refrigerants are regulated for transport and must be declared.
