About spring pins & bushings
Spring pins and bushings connect leaf springs to hangers and shackles on truck axles. They carry heavy loads and pivot constantly, so they wear quickly when not greased, especially on overloaded trucks and on unpaved roads.
Pins are hardened steel, often with grease channels and nipples; bushings may be bronze, steel, rubber or composite depending on axle design. Specify by chassis model, axle position (front or rear, front or rear eye), pin diameter and length, bush ID, OD and length, and thread size. Kits per axle simplify fleet ordering.
