Glass and body parts are driven by accidents, road damage and aging rather than scheduled maintenance. In markets with gravel roads, dense traffic and a large fleet of older vehicles, windshields, lamps, mirrors and bumpers are replaced frequently, and collision repair shops, glass fitters and body shops are the core buyers.
Body parts depend on model generation and facelift, trim level (chrome or black grille, with or without fender flares), cab type for pickups, and drive side. Pickups such as the Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi Triton have had multiple facelifts with different lamps, grilles and bumpers. Headlamps differ between left- and right-hand traffic markets because of beam pattern. Windshields may differ with sensors, camera brackets and heating.
Modern vehicles place cameras and sensors behind the windshield and in bumpers and grilles. Replacement windshields need the correct brackets and optical quality in the camera area, and driver assistance systems may require recalibration after replacement. Bumpers may need sensor holes and brackets; LED lamp assemblies may include control modules.
Windshields use laminated glass; side and rear glass typically use tempered glass, although some side glass is laminated for noise and security. Bumpers are commonly polypropylene (PP) blends, supplied primed or textured; pickup rear step bumpers may be chrome-plated or painted steel. Panels are pressed steel, usually supplied e-coated or primed for local painting.
Glass and body parts are among the most freight-sensitive products: windshields need racks or crates, bumpers and panels take large volume, and lamps are fragile. Aftermarket glass and body parts vary in fit, material thickness, optical quality and finish. Workshops notice gaps between panels, poorly aligned lamp mounting tabs and optical distortion in windshields immediately. Sample checks on a vehicle before volume orders, and consistent sourcing for each reference, reduce rework and claims.
Focus on high-accident items for the dominant models: windshields, headlamps, tail lamps, front bumpers, grilles and mirrors. Low-frequency panels can be ordered to confirmed demand.
Agree a transit damage procedure before the first shipment, including photo documentation on container opening, because breakage claims for glass and lamps are difficult to settle after goods have been distributed.

Panels are usually supplied e-coated or primed for local painting to match vehicle color. Some plastic parts, such as textured bumpers, are supplied in finished black.
