Brake Master Cylinders

The brake master cylinder converts pedal force into hydraulic pressure for the brake circuits. Most modern vehicles use tandem master cylinders feeding two separate circuits, mounted to a vacuum or hydraulic booster.

Key specifications are bore diameter, number and position of outlet ports, port thread sizes, reservoir type (integrated or remote) and fluid level sensor, mounting flange and pushrod design. LHD and RHD versions often differ in port orientation and reservoir layout, so drive side must be confirmed.
