Tow Bars

Tow bars allow pickups and SUVs to tow trailers, boats and caravans. Common designs include receiver hitches accepting removable tongues (such as 50 mm or 2-inch square receivers), fixed tongue bars, and step bumpers with tow ball mounts.

Key specifications are vehicle model and generation, rated towing capacity and tow ball download, receiver size, tongue drop, and electrical connectors (7-pin flat, 7-pin round, 12-pin). The vehicle manufacturer's towing limits apply regardless of tow bar rating. Many markets regulate tow bar design and marking; importers should verify requirements.
