What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They are sent back to the website with each request and are commonly used for sign-in sessions and security.
Local storage is browser storage that keeps data on your device. Unlike cookies, it is not sent automatically to the server with each request.

The session cookie contains a random token, is readable only by the server, is sent over HTTPS only and is deleted when you sign out. Browsing the catalogue and sending a request for quotation do not require it — it is set when you sign in to a business account. The Cloudflare cookie is set by the network that delivers this website when a security check is passed.
We do not use a cookie to protect forms: requests are checked against the originating website instead.
RFQ list and preferences in local storage
When you add parts to your request for quotation list, the list is stored in your browser's local storage so it is still there if you navigate away or return later on the same device and browser. The same storage keeps a comparison list, the last vehicle you selected, whether you prefer the grid or table view, and your analytics cookie choice. This data:
- Stays on your device until you submit the RFQ, clear the list or clear your browser data
- Is not sent to us until you submit the RFQ
- Is not shared with third parties
Analytics
We use three analytics systems to understand how the website is used in aggregate, such as page views and searches.
Our own analytics runs on our systems and sets no cookie. It identifies a visit using your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google and sets these cookies:

Google Analytics here is configured for measurement only: advertising storage, advertising identifiers and ad personalisation are switched off and advertising data is redacted, so these cookies are not used for retargeting or advertising profiles.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these cookies are not set until you accept them. We show a short notice with an Accept and a Decline option, given equal prominence. Until you choose, and also if you decline, Google Analytics stores nothing in your browser; it still sends Google requests that carry no identifier and no cookie, so that visit and enquiry counts can be estimated. Your choice is recorded under analytics-consent-v1 in your browser's local storage — not in a cookie — so clearing your browser data for this website will make the notice appear again.
