Should engine mounts be replaced as a set?
When one mount has failed on a high-mileage vehicle, the others have typically aged similarly and are carrying extra load. Many workshops replace engine and transmission mounts together.
Are polyurethane or heavy-duty mounts suitable for work pickups?
They reduce engine movement and can last longer under heavy loads, but they transmit more vibration and noise into the cabin. They are a trade-off that suits some users but not all.
