Timing Belt Kits

Timing belt kits package the timing belt with the tensioner, idler pulleys and sometimes bolts, seals or a water pump, so all wear parts in the drive are replaced together. This reduces the risk of a new belt failing because of an old bearing or tensioner.

Kit contents vary by supplier, so confirm each component, including whether balance shaft belts and their tensioners are part of the kit on engines that use them. Specify by engine code and OEM numbers of each component. Kits with water pumps carry more value and should be packed securely so pump flanges and seals are protected. See timing belts.
